I would say ... Practice PRACTICE PRACTICE!

There really is no quick fix to learning.

You could read up on what makes a good Logo, and find a lot of conflicting information as it usually comes down to personal taste.
Just take a look at our 2012 Olympic logo... Not many like it, yet it cost us £400.000. silly money!

I have been designing for over seven years and I am still very much learning!

I started with Paint Shop Pro (Coral Draw) moved onto Adobe Photoshop and now I am using Illustrator and Adobe Flash.
Most companies will only accept vector logo's, which is the main reason I decided to (try) and learn Illustrator smile.gif

Make use of the hundreds of Photoshop and Illustrator tutorials that are on the net. Learn something new every week, it is how I learned.

I also learned a lot on Logobogo, by helping with as many requests as I possibly could. At first it seemed like I was never good enough, but I persevered and got better. The day one of My designs made it onto a website... I was like a pig in muck! That gave Me the incentive to try harder. learn more and eventually I made enough money through donations, to purchase a new PC *grins*

So I say > READ OUR RULES < so you can familiarise yourself with what we expect from both requester and graphic artist. Help us out with as many requests as you possibly can, and who knows, after a month you may have a shiny new GP badge to show off smile.gif

Good Luck darlin!
