Hi people,
I am building a LPFM radio station and found this site thru Radio Daddy. The station callsign is KAPY, which was originally used by a AM station in the same community. The old station's format was classic country and they always said "Have a KAPY day", as in "happy day". I want to continue using this as well as tie it into the traditional smiley face. I have researched the subject, but want to verify that the smiley face is not copyrighted?
Thanks in advance,
Guy

The idea of a smiley face is not copyrighted, however certain images of smiley faces will be copyrighted. You can use the "Have a KAPY Day" one as that is most probably not copyrighted to anyone.
